Picks up about two weeks after "In Absentia." When an unexpected murder is discovered, the effects are wide reaching and everything threatens to come unraveled.
Short drabbles based on Walt/Vic. Can take place at any point in series so spoilers apply, including post series. No particular order.
Everything seemed off about this investigation. Right from the start, he knew something wasn't right. Yet he somehow couldn't say way. It was a gut feeling. One that got worse and worse as time went on. Just what was it?
Walt wakes up in his office to find his deputy, Branch Connally, spending another sleepless night obsessively searching for David Ridges. Though Sheriff Longmire has had his odds with his deputy, he takes a moment to understand Branch's situation and how similar they really are. One shot/fluff! I don't own any Longmire content or characters.
The story of Cheyenne Tribal Police Chief Mathias Clark, and his daughter Nevaeh.
Echo Aven spent most of her life in the Army, finally just wanting some peace she settles down in Absaroka. Becoming a Sheriffs Deputy introduces her to a lot of different people, but the one she can't stop thinking about? The Police Chief from the Rez that she can't stand.
Cheyenne Tribal Police Chief Mathias Clark is a father to his 1 year old daughter Nevaeh.
This was one of the times that he hadn't had control. It was a little uncomfortable but, he found himself really enjoying it.
The search for a young family missing while camping takes a turn that puts everything into question. Take place after "do your ghosts sing you lullabies."
A fun game of control in the bathroom.
Direct continuation of the series picking up with the last episode. Spoilers for entire series and canon compliant.
It was just supposed to be them watching movies together. Hanging out. Nothing all that serious in the slightest bit. Unfortunately, someone has horrible plans for them.
This wasn't how things were supposed to go. At least how he thought they were going to go.
What if our beloved Longmire characters exist but in an alternate universe without some of the background we've been given on them? Some things are the same but some are different. Vic never married Shaun and never moved to WY. Walt never married Martha and is about 15 yrs younger. There's no Cady, but there is Henry. That's what this is. Warning for language!
What if Victoria Moretti, Branch Connally, Zachary Heflin, Cady Longmire, The Ferg, Olivia Rhodes (my character), and Mathias Clark all went to college together? Henry Standing Bear, and Walt Longmire will be in the story. Olivia Rhodes is my character. the rest belongs to Longmire/Craig Johnson.
Mathias is the Chief of the Cheyenne police Dept. There have been good things-like putting Malachi Strand behind bars-but the way the BIA limits his powers to enforce the law has his hands tied. Life is frustrating, but the arrival on the scene of Alia, ex-FBI agent has turned his life upside down in more ways than one-not only does he have crime, but he's falling in love
Post-series. Walt attempts to adjust to retirement, but fails successfully when a missing-persons case falls between the cracks in jurisdictions and demands his attention. Meanwhile, he's learning what it takes to make a life with Vic Moretti, and how things don't always go according to plan, but that love is the most perfect imperfection and well worth the risks.
My take on how they became they and then a we. Don't own these wonderful characters created by Craig Johnson.
When Wyoming weather catch up to Walt and Vic.
Same story as "Everything's Back to Normal," but from Walt's perspective. Set after the Season 3 finale. I own nothing; thanks to Craig Johnson for creating these characters.
A bit of a 'Population 25' AU. Vic and Sean narrowly avoid crashing when they encounter a bear in the road, and make it to Jackson Hole for their romantic weekend after all. Will the intense dreams that Vic has been having about Walt cause even more problems for her troubled marriage? Walt/Vic. Now complete!
The things that can happen when you aren't exoecting them.
Has Vic misread the 'signals?
Walt receives a surprising letter from the last person he would have expected.
Last night of performance events a the annual rodeo, closing events are the next day, and the evening does not go the way Walt expects. Who can blame him, no one expects to be ambushed!
Vic wants to do something she's never done before.
Walt has a weakness for Vic's brand of pillow talk. Walt/Vic.
Who would think getting Walt back to his cabin and bronco after he returned Vic's department truck to her would lead to this? Will be multi-chapter, 7 I think. As usual, one a day until complete.
This story came out of a conversation with Auntieoaty over Chapter 26 B of In my Arms - Barlow's back story. It takes a somewhat different approach to the source of Barlow's attitudes and behaviors. It is a collaborative effort to address Walt and Barlow's history together while embracing the age difference between them that was set forth in the show.
This one is a multi-chapter fic. Surprises are in store for the friends and family of Walt and Vic. This will head into an AU (Alternate Universe) of sorts, which I don't ordinarily do. I hope you all will enjoy it anyway.
