A short scene in the den. As opposed to the patio.
Two TV characters from the last century meet and discuss . . . fanfic?
Confection: a dish or delicacy made with sweet ingredients.
The innate desire to create, the need to relive precious memories, the determination to defeat the forces of chaos! Sometimes, you fail. But just once in a while, you don't.
Starts just before the judge is kidnapped and Mark gives chase. With no seatbelt, Hardcastle would've been bounced around quite a bit in that crash. Did you ever notice that Mark couldn't seem to take his hands off him as he helped him out of the car? He was worried, and rightly so, because this story could have been the real way their day ended. Some dialog is from the episode.
McCormick is trying to hide his reactions after the first few weeks of solving cases with the judge. But nightmares and distracted thoughts are hard to hide from a very observant Hardcastle. Takes place after "Once Again with Vigorish".
Mark attempts to return to school after moving back in with the Judge, who has offered to pay for his tuition. (This takes place after the last episode of the series)
This story begins when Milt finds Mark at the bottom of the ravine in the episode "If You Could See What I See" and continues through the long wait at the hospital while Mark is in surgery, then in the Surgical ICU. It ends after the last scene of the show.
This is a little challenge that I took, as it appeared on the Gull's Way message board. An unwelcome intruder had moved into the main house. It drove Hardcastle and McCormick nuts.
What if McCormick actually did manage to get a job after Hardcastle threw him out? How would they have gotten back together? Would Hardcastle's superior attitude on the phone have hurt Mark's pride, preventing him from returning? This starts after their fight, with Mark already having found a job.
Even after just a few months together, the judge and McCormick have made enemies. And enemies often want revenge.
Another chat in the den at Christmas, this time about something that we all appreciate.
My first Christmas story. Here are two scenes, one scene before and one scene after the episode, "Hate the Picture, Love the Frame."
A missing moment before the last scene of the episode "Do Not Go Gentle..." Hardcastle contemplates the fact that McCormick turned down the opportunity to be the heir of his 1.5 million dollar fortune.
Did you ever wonder why Hardcastle missed the center of the target at the beginning of "Goin Nowhere Fast" even though he claimed to be an expert marksman?
A missing scene that happened 6 weeks after the judge found Mark at the bottom of the ravine. I figured he would need a lot of time to recover from his injuries and the severe exposure and a lot could have happened during those weeks. Just a bit of fluff for a little variety.
What if J.J. Beale had stayed with Hardcastle and was living in the Gatehouse when Mark arrived? How would Mark compare to Beale (the genius) and how would he cope with living in the gardener's trailer? How would he win over Sarah and the judge? This AU story shows how closed off the judge's feelings were. Starts right after Rolling Thunder and ends with Mark in the ER... as usual.
This scene happens after David Waverly has been caught, and before the mail scene at the end of the episode. McCormick suddenly realizes that the judge has been a hostage for the better part of 3 days.
Under Mark's watchful care, the judge gains back his strength and they help each other deal with the traumatic events of the near and distant past. Contains some references to Mark's childhood.
Can two friends have the same unusual problem at the same time, or is that too much of a coincidence?
