Dark Raid/Marathon Oneshot: Humans had a tendency to recycle, Durandal noticed. Even their own kind...
In 2194, a war was fought between the Independent Asteroid Government of Icarus and its neighbor, the Republic of Thermopylae on the asteroid of Onicis 492. My take on how the asteroid wars mentioned in Marathon played out, canon to my mashup universe.
Project Freelancer investigates a crashed alien ship, searching for anything that could aid the war effort. What they find is beyond the Director's wildest dreams - but is trying to control and outwit a rampant AI really such a good idea? (Probably not. But that's never stopped the Director before.) T for canon-typical violence and swearing.
Oneshot: The security officer was quite a useful tool for Durandal, but unfortunately, he wasn't available right now. Fortunately, there was someone else who could take his place...using the broadest definition of "fortunately" that is.
Poem: "Oddly, this is familiar to you, as if it were from an old dream, but you can't exactly remember..."
Oneshot: Even AIs have to pay the bills.
Short fics about their continuing adventures in the galaxy at large, set in the same continuity as "The Future Starts Slow." T for language, any further warnings/summaries will be included in each story's author's notes.
It doesn't pay to let a Rampant AI get bored. T for swearing and implied offscreen drunk sex (not involving Durandal, don't worry).
Short original fic with a nod to the events of Marathon and System Shock 2
Concerning the flight of the Traveler, and the battle that immediately preceded it.
Years after the events of Marathon Infinity, Durandal struggles against TriOptimum to rediscover SHODAN who has been missing for centuries. The Security Officer finds himself caught in the crossfire and deals with his own emotions as he finds he no longer wants to be a war hero.
The conditioning of the security officer for Tycho's purposes requires some extra effort. And pain. Takes place before and during Infinity's "Naw Man He's Close" timeline; M for torture.
Sometimes, you go to the desert to find monsters. A magical desert AU.
