Set approximately two months after the season finale and Brian's death. Chloe feels alone and scared, she has lost one more life since the night Brian died and has been having nightmares every night since as well. The night that Brian died Valentina died as well, leaving Jasmine - who survived - in charge, and Zane has vanished.
Alek knows he's a walking cliche. He fell for his best friend, Chloe. . .who's taken by a college guy. Most of the time, anyways. He's just not sure how much longer he can keep up being her "friend."
[Written in 2nd person from Alek] You have an extremely hard time trying to understand what this is, how you feel - is this terrifying or exhilarating? You don't understand why it's her, why she's the one who does this to you. But it keeps happening. And the only thing you can do is let it.

Chloe and Alek graduated high school 6 months ago and are now looking for a place to call their own. Brian is dead and Chloe has fallen madly in love with Alek. Out of the two of them Alek wants kids and Chloe doesn't know if she wants to run the risk of endangering her own children if she was to have any.
"That's not a way to talk to your brother." Just as Alek Petrov heard those words directed towards him, memories of his childhood came flooding back, recalling the half-brother he once had: Zane Petrov.
