Set after S2. The manor cannot pay their taxes for the fourth time in four months, and Gisburne has been forbidden from returning to Nottingham empty handed. The county is suffering from the lack of challenge to the Sheriff's tyrannical rule, but it is no use wishing for Robin Hood for he and his men are long gone.
Set after "The time of the wolf" around mid-winter, so one could perhaps say that this is some sort of weird christmas story. Reviews will be my best christmas presents!

This is too small even to be a drabble; it's a mere snippet, but I like it anyway and I hope you'll like it as much as I do. This is unbetaed, so all the mistakes are mine and mine alone. Enjoy and please review.
