Based on Eva Ibbotson's A Countess Below Stairs. Sir Walter Elliot lost both his wife and middle daughter in Bath. Years later, housekeeper Anne is looking forward to her new employment at Kellynch Hall. The expected arrival of a young naval officer is sure to make one lucky woman happy beyond her wildest dreams.
Frederick Wentworth is determined to get over Anne Elliot; it been eight years after all, so he decides to start seeing Louisa Musgrove seriously. Sure, she young and they have nothing in common but it's time and she's available. It's a good solid plan which works until they go out on their official first date
A series of "Persuasion" based shorts that dig into various aspects of canon. There are a mix of modern and Regency settings, including a modern version of the Wentworth letter.
Adaptación de Persuasión de Jane Austen, con los personajes de Candy Candy. Escena que provocó la apasionada carta del capitán Wentworth.
A modern Persuasion "what-if" from the same AU as Just An Earth-Bound Misfit, I and Can't Keep My Eyes From The Circling Sky. Explores what would have happened if Anne and Frederick had kept their first engagement; as a young military couple, they are forced to grow up much faster than their peers. Are the trade-offs worth it?
One-shot. Frederick and Anne in post wedded bliss, a pre-dawn interlude.
An observation of the power of Philia (the love man has for his friends) as told through our favourite sailors. Previously uploaded as Moments from James and Fanny. Title revised thanks to the advice of a much appreciated review.
(Repost in new account with edits) A modern-day Persuasion prequel, focusing on the depth of the young Anne and Frederick's love, and how hard they tried to do the right thing by each other. Yet, sadly, they face unfortunate circumstances that test them beyond their limits, young as they are, which is how they end up in Persuasion. Canon and diversity Easter Eggs abound!
This fic builds on the idea from BaymaCabo's one-shot, "Happy With Her Love". It branches off from the scenario where Anne is taken ill at the Great House, and takes a different route in which she is taken to Kellynch Hall to recover instead. As she recuperates, Captain Wentworth has some revelations that cleanse and heal his bitterness from the situation in the year six as well.
A humorous Regency parody, set in 1808. Lady Russell is in London when she comes upon a matchmaking seminar aimed at society matrons. As the instructress guides the class to rate their charges' suitors on a matrix of performance and potential, Lady Russell is in for some unexpected revelations.
Superhero challenge. The Aubergine Amaryllis, defender of the monarchy and fine fashion, finds that his time may have come and gone. Regency, very silly.
A different tragic love haunts the Trojan War as the Athenian sailor Kallikrates is forced to relive his past. Inspired by the Mythology AU prompt from the Fanfic Prompts tumblr. Originally posted on my blog and Archive of Our Own.
Buried feelings are brought to light when Anne slips and falls on the Cobb. One-shot.
A prequel to Love and Persuasion in the Times of Baseball; how were Eric and Anne reunited after years apart? Blame her cousin.
Dear Readers, Thank you for sticking with the story! I'm sorry it's taken so long. We're almost done. I promise. Once it's done I will go back through at correct the grammar and spelling mistakes and clear any confusion you may have. Thanks again!
Ada said goodbye to the love of her life four years ago, content to exist with the memories. Tony left Portland a broken man, now a very successful architect, he comes back after four years to restore a mansion, and maybe his heart.
Anne observes Louisa and Frederick, and think of how things could have been.
Here is my first go at fan fiction. It is a modern version of my favourite book of all time, Persuasion. Anne Elliot is a shy timid teenager, who has a secret, she can sing. When she meets Fred Wentworth he brings her out of her shell. After meeting up again eight years after their ill fated romance, they get a second chance, with a few bumps along the way. Rated M for language.
Modern AU. A short slightly frustrating poem of Frederick seeing Anne again, and his faults being overseen to reunite them.
Modern AU, just a short heart felt poem of Anne loving Frederick, even with both of each other's faults. Paired with the works, Persuasion Poem- Frederick
I reread some Austen and this bubbled up. Set on the first night at Harville's. Freeman Widdell Captain Wentworth; Lane Kelly Anne Elliot; Benny Widdell Benwick. Some liberties taken with character relationships and dynamics. Strong language, but used purposely and authentically. IDK if this is over. I'm not super dependable, but I'm open to it.
Modern AU. James Benwick raised an eyebrow, "Well, for such a solemn subject, you seem to be in quite good humor." One-shot.
My version of the how Captain Wentworth and Anne Elliot renewed their acquaintance after an eight year separation but in order to get there Frederick needs to save Anne and find out who wants to cause her harm.
Jane is wealthy, Ben is not. When Jane and Ben are parted after a high school romance they meet up again in the small seaside town of Wentworth. Their circumstances have altered but Jane's snobbish family ensure the path towards true love is never easy.
