A new student named Trixie, who's Spike's cousin, joins Emmy, Max, Enrique, Zak, Wheezie, Ord and Cassie's class in the School in the Sky. and everybody's super thrilled to meet and hang and play around with her as well too. but when the time comes for activities, especially poetry reciting, Trixie becomes a little bit terrified and nervous. so it's up to everybody to help her out.

When a wicked sorceress named Maligna hatches an evil plan to steal Dragonland's magic, Max and Emmy must travel with their dragon friends across the realm to locate a relic that can save Dragonland. A young girl of 18 named Phey moves into Emmy and Max's old house, and finds the dragon scale, accidentally transporting herself to Dragonland. Only now, things aren't the same, and the now older Ord, Cassie, Zak, and Wheezie are on the run as an unknown enemy corrupts the land, and Phey and the gang is the creatures of Dragonland's only hope.
