RGB has a rule about never getting attached to the heroes he brings to the Dream Lands. This is the story about the reasons behind his rule. See inside for warnings.
*A slightly different series of events from chapter 3* When Hero wakes up in The House of Paint and runs into Madras, RGB is still sleeping like a baby. Upon finding the snoozing TV man, the cyclops in pink decides to show young Hero a 'shocking' way to wake him up.
(Bowtie AU fanfic) Mirrors, or any sort of reflective surface, encourage us to reflect our appearance and who we are. And that's exactly what the teenage Hero did. Reflected over her identity and the unsightly roots infecting her arms. She pondered over the painful truth affecting her body and mind.
Dipper and Mabel deal with monsters of every shape and size nearly every day, but one night they must face the (self proclaimed) very worst one, who's from out of town. Meanwhile, the snappily dressed monster on the search for a 'hero' captures the curiosity of everyone's favorite dream demon.
"She's going to die, RGB." "Then I'll start again. And again. There must be a way ...there is always a way." MADRGB (? unofficial pairing name)
A green Idea resembling a dog woke Hero from her slumber, and quickly befriended her. It couldn't do the same with RGB however-he was still sleeping. What if that wet kiss it gave RGB wasn't enough to wake him up? That's when a hero and her Idea must use more drastic measures. As in drastically humorous.
After a long, hot walk in a surreal desert, RGB and Hero find their outfits filled with itchy, annoying sand. While they're shaking out their garments, Hero discovers something...interesting(ly hilarious) about the very worst monster's clothes. (Assok is in here, too)
While Hero is recovering in The House of Paint, RGB and Madras are left to their own devices. The TV headed monster and the one eyed merchant were clearly an unlikely couple to outsiders, but the pair still found joy in their unusual relationship. (RGB x Madras)
RGB is a TV man of many talents, but dealing with kids isn't one of them. That's why it was sometimes hard for him to convince a child to be a hero. Still, every time a potential savior...failed, he would search for another. Between the last failure and discovering Hero, there were a few 'interesting' attempts before he ran into the eight-year old brunette.
(A Bowtie/Peaceful bowtie AU fanfic) At long last, one of the young heroes the previous Hero recruits saved the world from the brink of destruction. But in the process, the entire crew is knocked out briefly. When they come back to their senses, they examine the aftermath, especially regarding a shocking transformation of Hero's beloved bowtie companion.
Once, she was a hero. Now, just a normal, happy teenager. And just like everyone else, she wakes up on Christmas morning with presents to unwrap. But unlike everyone else, she receives an extra present from an old friend, stirring up secret memories and feelings in the process. (Involves OlderHero, Post-TPoH AU possibly)
Hero didn't know that much about RGB-all she knew about the suave, surreal man was his uncaring personality and complex words. Mean and confusing, as she put it. But after waking up from a mysterious blackout on The Plains of Hesitation, she discovers a new side to RGB, a completely different color scheme.
Sometimes all a hero needs to do is hold someone's hand to make things right again. But there are times a hero can't do that due to the nature of those he or she wants to save. And those are the times when a hero needs someone to hold THEIR hand. All Hero needs is the hand of a certain cowardly monster.
RGB wasn't a hero. That was what that innocent girl, Hero, was for. He was just a coward acting as her charming guide to save his surreal world. However, in a harrowing series of events that puts their lives at risk, the roles within the unlikely duo become blurred and compromised. (Also stars Assok)
