A spin-off to "More Human Than Human". Q sent Fenix to the wrong time, a time when Data began attending Starfleet Academy. Instead of meeting Lore first, she ends up meeting his younger brother Data. It's them against the world filled with prejudice as the two learn about each other and understand themselves through trials of life. Together, they grow as individuals.
The crew of the Enterprise are invited to a holodeck murder mystery birthday party in honour of Data. Everyone is thrilled about to spend shore leave engaged in a thrilling mystery. It soon becomes apparent things are not quite what they seem. Something about this mysterious, omnipotent Butler has Jean-Luc on edge. Features the whole TNG gang and Q, Lore, and Lwaxana Troi.
A story told in many parts of Soong and of Lore, of Juliana and (eventually) of Data's lost childhood with the family he never knew... Act II: In the aftermath of Soong's trial, Soong and Juliana work to reconstruct their lives, a new family, but what of Lore? Can he learn to build a life of his own, or has traumatic input altered his perception of human ethics...of reality itself?
You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family. So what happens when the black sheep turns up for dinner bringing all their old grudges to the table? Data Soong may be forced to make a terrible sacrifice.
Lore plays the long con. AU in which Lore remains aboard the Enterprise to manipulate the crew. Data is the only one who understands but finds no one believes him as Lore always seems to be one-step ahead. Using his detectictive skills Data must stop him before it is too late. Eventual Data/Tasha fluff & romance. Warnings: abuse, dubcon/rape, and language.
What if, instead of growing to hate his brother, Lore was taken aboard the Enterprise instead? Hijinks and angst ensue as Lore worms his way into everyone's hearts, and becomes the crew's emotional support bastard. Rated T just to be safe! (Set after Datalore but before Deja Q, to give you a roughish timeline)
Commander Data, despite his self-described inability to experience emotions, rediscovers his desire to have a brother. This work will follow Lore's path of redemption, after his brother's determination brought him back once more. Will the android be able to leave the past behind and allow himself to change for the better, or will the vicious cycle continue? Set after season 7.
Lore - who has been, in his eyes, degraded to working in Ten Forward under the careful watch of Guinan, decides to pull a little prank on her and a certain Klingon becomes his victim of choice. This takes place within the canon of my Ascent: a Lore redemption arc fanfiction; I didn't want to include what is essentially a crackship in that work. Minor spoilers for that one ahead.
