Spring 1986, Chrissy Cunningham meets up with Eddie Munson for a drug deal in hopes to relieve symptoms she has been experiencing for a few days. When she is put under Vecna's spell, Eddie successfully wakes her. Together, with the help from the Upside Down kids, will they cure Chrissy and save Hawkins?
It's summer vacation, 1985. After everything that's happened in the past two years, Will just wants to go back to the way things were - and the Party seems to be racing on ahead, leaving him behind as they get swept up in the new adventure of being teenagers. But when something darker threatens to reenter their lives, the Party has more to deal with than just summer shenanigans.
Will cleared his throat nervously. "What did Vecna look like as a human?" Will asked hesitantly to El after finally gathering the courage. Or Will realizes something and has to confess to El.
Certain funny smelling plants and Will make for an interesting combo.
As the California gang drives through the country to find El, Mike thinks back to the argument with El and fights his fear that he might have lost her forever (inspired by the original script of the van scene). Final part - the reunion in the desert.

She liked it that way, she thought. Until she found herself trapped in the Upside Down battling a Demogorgon to save a little boy, and learned she never wanted to be alone again.
While in Hawkins for Spring Break, Will has a rather angry moment thanks to old tormenters.

It's been two days since Will moved away from Hawkins, and he still hasn't heard from Mike. El has heard from Mike, of course: she's on the phone with him now, in her room, just like she was for hours last night. "Hey, Will," she calls when he passes her on his way to the kitchen, "Mike says hi—" and Will could just strangle them, if he wanted to start something, but he doesn't.
Mike thought his world ended when Will Byers went missing in November. Now Mike's being sent to Derry for the summer to be with Richie. Soon he realises that Derry isn't all it seems. Children are going missing and he fears The Upside Down has followed him to Derry. The monster lurking in the sewers is worse than anything from the Upside Down and Mike might not survive.
Sometimes Will imagines what it might have been like if they were all just Hoppers.
The day Will Byers showed up to school with a smile on his lips, was a day no one in Lenora Hills knew how to handle.
