For as long as either of them can remember, Jake and Marco have been best friends. Even as finals loom and student loans stack, they make time to meet up and hang out. They're a dynamic duo, a perfect comedic pair, and Marco has been in love with Jake for ages. Eventually, that dam has to burst, and he's scared of what will be swept away when it does.
Tobias is getting tired of lying to his mom about the war with the Yeerks, but what matters more right now are the eerie dreams about the ocean that he can't shake-off. He's not the only one having dreams and when they turn out to be a cry for help the Animorphs have to leave the safety of dry land and take the plunge to rescue what may be the last remaining free Andalite on Earth.

Thirteen years after the Yeerk War, voluntary Controllers are few and far between. Nothlits outnumber Yeerks by a large margin, and they've been feeling oppressed.
