Emma is on her way to Granny's when a teen version of Regina Mills seemingly pops out of thin air and smacks right into her. Emma and present-day Regina must work together to figure out why the curious young teen is there and how to send her back before the past is irreparably changed, thus altering their entire lives in the present. Young!Regina AU. Rated T, subject to change.
Emma Swan met Regina Mills at the Almost Home Orphanage for children under the age of twelve when she was six years old and Regina was seven, and they didn't like one another very much at first.
"It's no one's fault but your own that you haven't done laundry in a month."
Karma hates not knowing, especially when said not knowing applies to Amy Raudenfeld.
They didn't speak of it. Neither would have known what to say. Regina would have likely been uncomfortable and shaken to the point of being cold and detached, and Emma would have undoubtedly stuttered her way through a speech that made little or no sense by its end.
They held one another's gazes and said a lot in their silence. They had always been that way, able to say so much without ever actually saying a word. It was just another reason why things were different with them, why Carol had swallowed up so much of his heart and stuck there like a thick layer of glue that held him together most days.
She had never realized the extent of her feelings, not until this moment when for the first time, she felt like Tamsin was slipping through her fingers.
She really needed to get over herself, over all this … feeling crap. It was slowly killing her from the inside out, fraying her seams and then yanking at the threads. Bo was her unraveling.
She sucks in a sharp breath when Rachel comes, head ducked and steps timid. Quinn's gaze never makes it past Rachel's left hand, third finger. She stares at the naked flesh for what feels like hours.
They are trapped in the moment, ensnared in this strange sort of electric tension that borders on pain as it pulls and sparks across the small spaces between their bodies.
"I can't believe you let Kenzi talk us into this."
It was a simple poem, childish even, but the weight of it pricked at Bo's heart now in ways she couldn't have comprehended while under the parasite's influence.
She doesn't need a reminder of why she gives up Heaven for Hell, why she literally demands that the freaking God of like all things and people and stuff sends her down there, wherever, because she's not going to live out eternity without Karma.
As if Aubrey isn't a giant upgrade from stained jeans and Treble-Maker toning. Beca should be thankful that Aubrey would even consider holding her hand, let alone faking an entire relationship with her. (Mitchsen fake relationship & implied BeChloe)
There's only Cosima and that smile and that tug in Sarah's gut that surprised her, that didn't make any sense, that felt so fucking terrifying and wrong and exciting and right.
It wasn't like Bo was completely oblivious. She'd seen the way Tamsin looked at her sometimes, heard the words whispered from the Valkyrie's own lips.
"I think you secretly love that we are snowed in together at my dads' house, Santana."
Regina Mills is at the top of the high-school food chain-attractive, popular, and head cheerleader. Emma Swan is at the bottom-the class's biggest nerd whom the popular kids just love to tease. Regina, however, harbors a secret crush on the nerdy blonde. Will she defy the high-school hierarchy and risk her reputation to be with Emma? High School AU.
Sarah sucks in a sharp breath at the way Cosima says her name, like she might want it to be the last name she ever utters.
