When Hermione and Harry arrive in 1979, they find Severus Snape in the Forbidden Forest. WARNING: mention of an attempt at suicide.

Severus grew worried. What was so bad that Lucius was scared to come in front of his own family? He leaned in towards the door and said in a low tone, "Lucius, are you alright?" A pale hand shot out from behind the door and grabbed Severus's wrist. Lucius yanked him into the pitch-black bedroom and shut the door behind him with a decisive click.

Severus glared at the hideous costume Harry was trying to force him into. He shuddered at the thought of having to wear the rainbow-coloured unicorn suit, so much so that Severus turned away from the sight. Harry whined, "Sevvy, please! I told my friends that my Sevvy loves me so much that he'll wear the costume for the party! They'll make fun of me if you won't!"

Regulus was staring at Potter again instead of eating. He would claim that he was observing—not staring—but Rabastan couldn't give less of a fuck. Watching Regulus pine away for the Gryffindor dork had become boring rather quickly. The 'oh-so-secretive' longing looks Potter sent Regulus when he wasn't looking were even worse.

Hermione's eating an ice cream cone, and Marcus just can't look away. AU!
