  • Kids

"I'm seventeen. You're seventeen." A conversation between Harry and Hermione at Shell Cottage regarding The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore.

  • Down the Steps

The multi-chapter "After the War" piece goes with the book version, with Harry not taking leave before going to the forest. This is a one-shot where he goes the movie route and does say goodbye, with minor changes for Greater Plausibility and Moar Angst.

  • Conditions of Need and Valor

"He isn't awake yet, or he wouldn't reach for ME." In which Hermione sucks at keeping watch, and something happens other than the sword getting stuck in a lake. Set in a semi-AU where the Horcrux is not destroyed immediately upon Ron's return.

  • Memory

One shot drabble, taking place in Lupin's office during his first session teaching Harry to repel the dementors.

  • For Slaughter

One chapter of my bigger piece, "After The War", has a bit of Harry's perspective on Dumbledore's machinations. It got me thinking about how the Headmaster himself would have seen it: I wanted to go with grey instead of black and white. Reviews welcome, as always-I often feel like I'm tossing my stuff off a steep cliff.

  • Family Dinner

The signs were always there. An hour at the Burrow, after the flying car rescue but below the beginning of Harry's second year.

  • Advice

I can totally understand Rowling's decision to leave the aftermath of the final battle unexplored, but it fascinates me to contemplate how the different characters would get their bearings back, and 'after saving the world, he just wanted a sandwich' didn't quite cover everything that needed to be covered. One-shot of a meal in the Great Hall, the day after Voldemort fell.

  • Unforgiveable

It never sat well with me that Harry was able to use the Imperius curse on the goblin at Gringotts with no explanation of how he learned to do it. Set at the Burrow in the days before Bill and Fleur's wedding.

  • Nightmare

The Deathly Hallows epilogue said Harry's scar didn't bother him for 19 years after the forest. It didn't clearly state that "all was well" the whole time. One-shot.

  • Retelling

In Dumbledore's office after the third task, and after then, starting midway through Harry's retelling of what happened. Reviews appreciated: I'm not doing the commonly done thing where you make stuff happen that wouldn't happen in the canon, as much as just playing with fleshing out how characters may have experienced things not shown directly.

  • Choice

A conversation between Harry and Hermione, after Ron left them during the time period of the last book. My attempt at something better than the movie's "never let me give you a haircut again."
