Okay, this is my first ever totally AU Torchwood story, so naturally I chose to write about something I know next to nothing about. Hopefully that won't show too much. I think it's more schmoopy than fluffy, but... *shrugs* The title is borrowed from the Guy Clark song that inspired the fic – it's not a songfic though.
