All Hermione wants is a baby. She never imagined how much struggle and heartache would come along with her desire. Same premise in both chapters but with different endings.

James didn't want to take Al to the pool in the first place, but he never meant to leave him in the water unattended.

"Certain people have a lot more weighing on their shoulders than others. Some people take that worry and laugh it off. Others realize what it means for their future and bury their heads. Lily wasn't sure what she did."

As the Order reunites, Emmeline begins to think of friends lost and battles fought. Sirius understands, but he's always so snarky. Maybe she needs to help someone new understand what war does. No romance

Fred and George have the perfect birthday present for Snape, but when Hermione finds out, their whole endeavor is in jeopardy. It will take a lot of fast talking on Fred's part if they ever want to go through with it.

Astoria Malfoy thought she could be a perfect mother even with Draco's long hours, but with such a fussy son who only responsed to his father, her mind begins to unravel. Written for the Controversial Challenge by OCDdegrassi

Although Ginny swore she didn't want to hear about Ron's first date with Luna, she can't believe no one has told her about it. One afternoon, while Luna is in the Gryffindor common room to help her study, Ginny finally asks what she's missing.

Sirius has apologized to Remus for playing The Prank on Snape at his expense, but Remus just won't forgive him. James says there's only one way to fix their friendship now, but it involves apologizing to Snape. Surely it can't be done.

James and Peter are in his backyard doing exactly what Mrs. Potter told them not to, but she can't bring herself to mind.

"Neville froze, staring down the stairs towards the chairs by the fire. He had thought his own common room was the one place he didn't have to worry about making a fool of himself in front of her. Apparently he was wrong."

It's Hermione and Ron's first Christmas together as a couple, so everything that could go wrong has. Surely they can still make the best of it. Written for the Fear Factor, Fanfiction style Competition

Peter Pettigrew has found his drunken way to into the girls' dorm, and Lily is the only one who cares enough to comfort the underappreciated boy. He tells her a little secret about James Potter. Hints at future LilyJames

Hermione's feeling blue after Ron breaks up with her. The girls take her out hoping to cheer her up, but she gets a little more than she bargained for. At least she's not doubting herself anymore.

"Hermione resisted the urge to hold her breath as she peeled through the wrapping paper of Narcisss's gift. 'How… nice,' Hermione said as she revealed the large, oriental picture frame. Her first comprehensive thought was, 'Where on earth can I put it'"

Hermione and Draco can't stay secret forever, but Hermione wants to test their ability to not get caught one last time before they announce themselves. She wants to test this at Malfoy Manor.

I had to do one of these about Draco and Hermione. The first chapter is the most recent one written, as I use this challenge as a writing practice when I need inspiration.
