After accepting to on on an expedition to South America, Severus disappears while exploring a cursed island. The expedition leaders inform Hermione and tell her there's nothing they can do. She decides to search for him herself. What she discovers it's more than she could ever imagined.

I always wondered what if Lily didn't turn her back on Severus. What if he understood sooner what it meant to follow the dark. What if Lily needed an answer of how to get her friend back. Or Severus how to turn his back from it. And they found the answer. It's called love.

Hermione is blinded by pain, she retreats herself in her own and in this way she steps into the wonderful land of Eternal Summer.
