Basically Korra gets instatutionalized, it just so happens she's at the same one Azula's been in...which is where the AU comes in because Azula is around Korra's age. :D Speaking of :D faces, I finally made a one shot that was exactly 1000 words long!

A little ficlet about how Icy got her powers and who she was prior to getting them. In essence it will be a psychological fic centering around how with the emergence of her powers; Icy is split between her human self and her magical self.

Magix is hit with an epidemic that has the ability to alter physical appearances among other mysterious things. No cure is known to doctors and Icy is one of the first to contract it. She is forced into hiding as the doctors & scientists are more inclined to quarantine experiment on the first of the infected than to help them.
Takes place after The Search; when Azula is running away she comes across this pond that she is rather drawn to. It acts as a sort of time travel device and lands her in the Korra era. Ming Hua ends up finding her laying in the street and takes her in.
Another anon tumblr prompt; Ming Hua sees a new mother with a baby and does some reflecting. It was a fun prompt to work with. She reflects upon the things she misses doing when she had the use of her arms. Rated T for some mild language.
