Just in time for the Fourth of July ... Inspired by anonyreaderfan's "It's Just Fireworks" story, this is Jedikiah's POV (real creative title, huh?) of that same situation. Well it leads up to what happens in that story.
An alternate and somewhat extended scene from Superhero where John lets Cara into his mind. I was disappointed in the lack of a reaction from Cara. Just couldn't tell if she felt anything from it. This is my attempt to improve it. It's also in response to a challenge I issued to anonyreaderfan. Yep, responding to my own challenge.
One shot. Inspired by a scene in the Captain America movie where the Winter Soldier is struggling to remember who Cap was. Could also be considered a "what if" scenario.
Missing scene where Roger and John talk after John gets his powers taken away. Chapter 2 starts off with John returning to the Lair and includes his talk with Cara.
NEW CHAPTER 5, REPLACED CHAPTER 4, please re-read if you read my last chapter. At first based on the episode "Limbo". John is jealous of Cara's connection with Stephen. Will John tell Stephen how he feels? Will he show him? Warning: Spoilers, please R&R what you think, and for more John/Stephen, thank you!
John Young started at the note in his hands, his shoulders shaking uncontrollably as tears ran down his face. Did this mean what he thought it did? Was Stephen gonna kill himself?
John's state of mind during Modus Vivendi, from the point the strike team finds them to the end of the episode. I need help. I seem to have an addiction to trying to get into John's or Jedikiah's mind.
10 months after John went AWOL, Astrid and the others have not lost hope. When they finally find him a changed man and without his memories, the group, which has been slowly falling apart, become stronger in attempt to both regain John's memories and stop Jedikiah's mad plan. Jostrid fic.
Life is quick, you blink and it's over. While you're speeding through life, don't forget to try and enjoy the little moments. 100 word, 100 drabble challenge.
Astrid struggles with her feelings for John, as Stephen contemplates his own feelings for his best friend. Can the three of them cope with the feelings they have?
What would happen to a mind-wiped John when he has to cope with the death of Jedikiah and the only people that can help are the ones he doesn't remember. UPDATE: Re-wrote one section of Chapter 6 to clear up conflicting information. So, if you read this story before 12/9/2014, please re-read Chapter 6.
Two-shot where Charlotte finds out what happens to John. First chapter she learns that John is human. The second part, she finds out he's missing.
One-shot "missing scene" from Sorry For Your Loss. After stopping in Akron, John and Russell make at least one more overnight stop on their way to the funeral. Russell is feeling guilty about the bar fight and something John said is bothering him. Didn't realize I wanted or needed this until I wrote it. Now I wish there had been something like this in the episode.
A one shot that is my attempt to shed some light on Roger and John's possible backstory ... how Roger may have influenced John. One section will be very similar to my story "The Last Time". You could probably think of it as a bit of a teaser for that story.
Sitting Ducks Alternate scene - What if Ultra found John before Cara could return?
John never had a problem shutting people out of his head. It compromised better judgements and distracted his main focus to keep everyone just like him safe from a world that fears them. It was easier to live that way, nobody could break him, not even Audrey Andrews.
Cara had been taken aback by the stuffed beaver making a reappearance. It was stupid that a silly stuffed animal brought so many things flooding back.
Jedikiah's thoughts about John after some of their confrontations.
Just a short, quick one-shot that is an attempt to delve into what John is thinking when talking to Marla in "Brother's Keeper".
A missing scene/tag to Thanatos - what happened to John after he shot Roger, how he left Ultra. This turned out a lot longer than I originally intended it to be.
John tells Astrid about his past. Set within the two weeks from the time the Machine is stopped and Jedikiah steals John away.
A one-shot companion piece to Swan Song that provides a window into John's perspective, without repeating the events of the previous story. Could stand alone, if you're easygoing about the need for context. Spoilers for the series finale. Disclaimer: no copyright infringement intended.
Missing scene from "A Sort of Homecoming" that I desperately needed. People in the Lair react to John being captured by Ultra. Main characters: Stephen, Cara and Jedikiah with appearances from Roger, Russell, Charlotte and Morgan. Including John in the Characters list because even though he doesn't technically "appear" in the story, he is the subject of it.
Astrid tries to rebuild her life one piece at a time, but faces challenges as she finds her way. Set following the events of the series finale, and contains spoilers related to it. Disclaimer: no copyright infringement intended.
Cara actually sees John for the first time since he regained his powers and lost his memory. She and Jedikiah discuss what has happened to John. This story takes place after the finale.
'It'd been two weeks since they managed to get John locked in one of ULTRA's cells.' Astrid won't give up on John, not ever. ONESHOT
Part 2 of 'The Unforgiven', this is a tragedy but better a tragedy then a travesty right? I will have my kick-asre leader John with a side of Jedikiah hurt/comfort if I so have to write it myself and ignore the show. Update: Having now actually seen the finale - it totally surpassed my wildest expectations, kudos to the writers for restoring my faith in Johnmanity! :D
It's blame. It's all blame. Her anger she can't focus it on them, only herself. Her chest is heaving, she wants to cry but tears don't come.
