This follows Coming Home. When getting back to normal, is normal the the same as it was?
This is a follow-up to Coming Home. All they want is for everything to get back to normal, but can normal be what it was before the last mission?
After the disastrous double mission in Luxembourg with Walker's team Chief is left behind to protect everyone's escape. He's facing a dangerous situation until Morrin shows up unexpectedly. On their escape through Belgium they find a deadly situation involving the Resistance that can't be ignored. Can they save a whole group and their families and get back for a wedding?
It's Goniff's birthday and the team has promised no tricks, so why has he been hooded and thrown in a car? This story refers to events in the Garrison's Gorillas TV episode "Death Sentence". Chris Carey would have been 92 on June 16th, he was Goniff, that brilliant, exasperating, sticky-fingered, wickedly childlike, likeable rogue of a thief. Always loved and never forgotten.
Episode 10: At the end of King's Gambit, Actor receives a somewhat odd phone call from Garrison, demanding he returns to the Mansion. This episode begins a few days earlier. What had happened to make Garrison make that call?
When one of his men is missing, Garrison is gravely concerned. But this isn't the only person whose disappearance creates problems for the team. My next story after 'No Way Back'.
A double wedding is on the horizon for Garrison and Chief but the war is throwing up obstacles in their path in the form of a double mission and those don't end well. There's also a very unexpected surprise from Rainey's past that affects everyone.
Missions have gone sour before, but not like this. What will be the effects on the Garrisons and the team?
Sometimes celebrations don't go as planned. In honor of what would have been Cesare Danova's 96th birthday.
February 26th is Brendon Boone's 84th birthday. This is a birthday tribute to Chief and I wish many more Happy Birthdays to Brendon. Chief doesn't know his birthday but Garrison knows the one he chose for him. Things have been planned, more than a birthday, Rainey doesn't know what a surprise he's going to get.
It seemed like every cell in his mouth and throat was being torn open, it was like swallowing a handful of razor blades. He ignored the pain and lapped the rest of the water off his hands with a swollen tongue. He kept his head down, licking greedily at the rivulets of water the dripped off his hair and scalp.
This is intended to be a repository for 'short shots' that don't really have a home of their own. Each chapter should stand alone (if it doesn't I'll let you know). Some may be serious, some may be silly…. Like that 'box a chocolates' you never know what you're gonna get. Enjoy, Dale
On a mission to rescue a German scientist, the team soon find themselves outnumbered. The next story in my series after More False Pretences.
What are the odds of no missions for anyone on Christmas? The Mansion will be bulging at the seams.
December 21st will be Rudi Solari's 87th birthday. We love Casino, that tough guy who leads with his mouth and has a heart of gold. He also has a soft spot for a bit of breaking and entering. Enjoy and celebrate this as a tribute to our favourite safecracker.
Sometimes in the heat of the moment, a commander has to make hard decisions
Chief's day starts out bad and only goes downhill from there.
This is the last of Trials and Tribulations, my mini-series within my series. Lt. Garrison is having his own trials and tribulations and they are affecting his team and family. Even he does not know what is causing it. Actor finds himself with an old friend. The others take part in another easy mission. Somehow they are rarely 'easy.'
Trials and tribulations affect everyone. Family is important. Sometimes you have to bear the unthinkable to save a sibling. And that action touches everyone; some harder than others. This is the third story in my Trials and Tribulations miniseries within my series.
Sometimes fate sends you something to make up for the heartbreak of war. You have to make the most of it because in war, you never know how long it will last.
So when and how did Lt. Garrison meet the young woman he periodically disappears on mysterious missions with?
We all accept certain things about the guys but I got to thinking... What if they weren't true. What if it was something else. I started with one character and it spread so each chapter will look at a different character and ask "What if...". I am not suggesting these are true, just a little something to play with for fun.
Just a belated bit of story with Chief, for Brendon Boone's birthday. Belated because of real life and fanfiction being down. Enjoy.
In the heat of the moment, sometimes a commander has to make hard decisions.
Just a snippet of fun. So how did Lt. Garrison manage to get three of the cons into dresses after they kidnapped . . . er . . . liberated the Mecklenberg baby and friends?
Go ahead, Chief, you know you have to ask. Just remember that you might not like where that answer takes you. The answer might cost someone their reputation too. Too late to take it back now.
A little sketch in anticipation of Ron Harper's birthday. My take on his Garrison background.
Practice sessions are a good place to find the flaws in the plan. They know you are coming and that it is just a practice and all precautions are in place. So how bad could it be?
In war, sometimes it's hard to know who your friends are.
Sometimes, even though you are part of a team, you find yourself alone. The easy way is to turn your back and do nothing especially if doing something is going to be hard or maybe get you into trouble. What do the men do when they are faced with that dilemma?
