Set in 1974, our favorite detectives take on a new case.
Just a little one-shot for the episode "The House on Hyde Street". It's such a meaningful and heart-wrenching story and I always loved the character portrayal in this one. Enjoy!
A playful killer and the aftermath of a death on the force threaten to put a strain on a once strong partnership. Can Mike and Steve find their way back to the truth before it is too late?
A new year brings a whole new set of challenges.
The odds against Steve and Mike both dying accidental deaths on the same day, around the same time, over one hundred and fifty miles apart, are just too great for it to be just coincidental. ***New chapters- Chapter 17 & 18 posted ***
"Please Doc, tell me you are joking?" Bill begged.
Pulling his coat closer in a vain attempt to protect himself a little from the icy sting of the winter storm, Mike Stone stepped around the uniformed officer who was guarding the crime scene in the narrow alleyway and he found himself staring at the red streaks that stained the wall and the burgundy pool of blood adjacent to it. Mike frowned, "What were you doing here, Steve?"
Professional jealousy leaves Steve's life hanging in the balance.
Jeannie squealed with delight. Her father had invited his new partner, Steve Keller, home for dinner. Steve was such a dreamboat! She could simply lose herself staring into those beautiful green eyes all night. Could a simple, innocent schoolgirl's crush on her father's new partner end in tragedy? (This story is set two years before the show.)
It had been an accidental shooting but that did not make the fact that he had shot his partner any easier to bear.
All Mike wanted on this typical-looking Monday was to get it over and done with as quickly as possible. Little did he know that this typical-looking Monday that he was dreading, he was going to find himself reliving the worst moments of his life. * chapters 1 & 2 posted, Chapters 3 & 4 will be posted later today.
He had promised to love her, to cherish her, to keep her safe. It was a promise that would change lives forever. (This story is being reposted, so if it seems familiar that's why. :) It is completed and will be updated regularly.)
The panicked tossing and whimpering coming from the young man in the bed instantly roused Mike from the light doze into which he had drifted. Surprised to find the room in darkness, he jumped to his feet and hurried to the side of the hospital bed. Turning back on the night light above the bed, he reached for Steve's hand and began to whisper, "Shh, Buddy boy, it's okay."
A single phone call pulls our two favorite San Francisco Homicide Detectives into the depth of an unsolved crime so sinister that the locals would rather see it buried in the back of an old file cabinet, never to be mentioned again. What will it take for Mike and Steve to fight off the monsters along the way to seek justice for the victims, no matter the cost?
It was a dangerous assignment, dangerous for even the most seasoned cop. But Mike knew he needed someone much younger, someone whose face was not known, someone who could help him catch a serial killer. And Mike Stone found that fresh new face who was perfect for the job - a young SFPD Vice squad inspector named Steven Keller.
Pain! It was everywhere! It was alive! And it was clawing and chewing at his insides, like a thousand meat eating ants, trying to eat him alive. He was dying and death was agonizingly painful and slow. He whimpered as he drew in a shallow breath as his ribs screamed in protest and closed his eyes, "I'm sorry Mike… I tried…" Co - written with the very talented The Real Joan Wilder
Tag to the episode "Trail of The Serpent". After rescuing Mike, Steve might need to be rescued, too.
Steve and Jeannie's night out at the movies takes a mysterious turn when they get caught in a thunderstorm.
Set around the holidays, Mike looks forward to spending his Christmas with his daughter and partner, who is away on a ski holiday. What can possibly go wrong? Only a murder, a kidnapping and a severe snowstorm - and that's just for starters.
Steve and Jeannie give Mike the Thanksgiving surprise of his life. Written as a response to SOSF writers group prompt. This is my first attempt at fan fiction, all constructive criticism is appreciated. The characters do not belong to me, and are only used for the enjoyment of the reader and the writer.
This is a response to a Writer's Challenge- a story set in the past/ childhood of one of the characters. A twelve year old Steve struggles with a school project- and much more.
What was meant to be a fun day out turns into a nightmare when Mike gets hurt and everybody blames Steve, including himself
Have you ever noticed how often Mike Stone whips out his pristine white handkerchief in the series? This little one shot describes Steve's thoughts and feelings looking at the famous while piece of cloth.
A prequel, Steve has only quite recently started working with Mike. When Mike has to deny him a day off that Steve requested it leads to some revelations and a new level of friendship and understanding.
This is a follow up sequel to my other story Going Under. While it can be read on its own, knowledge of that story is necessary to fully understand this one. It details Steve and Mike's trip to Modesto to help Steve come to terms with his tragic past. In the episode "A Wrongful Death" Steve Keller was accused of killing an unarmed young man while in the line of duty. This is my interpretation of what could have possibly happened due to that event, if he had faced manslaughter charges as he was warned rather than just being suspended.
This is an original story I wrote where Steve suffers a traumatic incident and it tells how both him and Mike deal with the aftermath. Thank you to those who reviewed and commented on my other stories. I hope you will enjoy this story as much as I enjoyed writing it. Disclaimer: I do not own the SOSF characters. Sometimes guilt isn't just for the survivors.
After the Episode "Thrill Killers" Mike and Steve have a long overdue conversation in the hospital, lots of questions and lots of answers. Some expected and some rather unexpected...
This is a what happened next story that fills in between the end of Act Four and the Epilogue of the episode "Rampage". It can be read as a stand alone story but knowledge of the episode in question would be useful. It was an omitted scene that always bothered me. Disclaimer: Any reference to the episode and the characters belong to the SOSF creators and I merely borrow them.
