This is my interpretation about who Fujimoto was, how he met Granmammare, how he came to dislike humans that much, and finally decided to stop being a human himself to go life in the ocean together with Granmammare.

Gray is a five year old boy just enjoying his life when he finds a new kind of fish in the ocean. This is the story of how they met. "JUVIA!" He repeatedly screamed her name trudging further in the ocean after the man he assumed took her. He swam out and saw the bucket snatching it up, but the fish was gone. "JUVIA!" he continued calling her name searching in vain.
When that catchy, ear worm inducing song is over, reality sets in. For Ponyo, this brings on a new fear of being alone from years of her sisters slowly abandoning her. With Sosuke by her side, can this spunky 13 year old keep her child-like spirit in a world demanding grown-ups? WIP
