Johnny's friends ignore him and he finds a pretty scary way to pay them back. I love Johnny owies. I Do not own this show. Mark IIV does. If I did, I would be writing this on I private boat. Or a plane.
Roy and Johnny save a life, but in the usual way.
For Mike Stoker, one chapter closes as another one begins.
Chief McConnike gives an evaluation of Hank Stanley. Take a peek to see what he had to say! Please R/R Thanks!
Breaking the sixth (television) wall. Dialog exercise. Trying to pin down that ethereal quality that any writer has with his chosen world and realm of characters on paper.
Cap's thoughts after Johnny is bitten by a rattlesnake. Someone suggested making this a series, thought I'd see how it goes. A guest reviewer from Chet's POV will recognize their suggestion in here. THANKS! :) Rated T for MILD language, just to be safe.
I don't excel at first person and Chet's voice is the hardest for me to capture so a bit of an experiment. An idea of what might have been going through Chet's thoughts during the events in Snakebite and a bit of conjuncture about a missing scene while at Rampart. Can't remember seeing anything about Chet's POV so sorry if this has been done before. T to be safe for MILD language.
This story begins right before the promotions to captain and continues to when Roy and Johnny are captains. It contains OC characters and has one part that puts it in the mature rating. It is meant to explore the private lives a bit. Some mild language, & sexual assault themes. Mostly T rated. Please review, but be constructive. I do not keep anonymous reviews or flames.
What is the shift like for the guys after Johnny's close encounter with the snake?
The Desoto's seem to be drifting apart as a couple. Will their marriage survive? How does one paramedic's trouble at home affect the entire A-shift crew?
Four days after taking care of a brushfire the Station experiences a scare when Mike Stoker falls sick with an unknown ailment. Now Rampart must find a way to treat the downed engineer while the rest of the crew try to find the source of his illness.
Just what did Johnny take off Brackett's desk in Season 2's "Drivers," and why? He explains.
The continuation of Arson-Part 1..The men of Station 51 learn that the arsonist that killed Chet's friend is still alive and back setting fires-and targeting Johnny and Roy.
When Pete and Jim are held injured by a man who holds them hostage, John & Roy are tasked with entering a dangerous situation to help them and the wife of the armed man holding them all at gunpoint.
When some new fires show a familiar pattern of an arsonist long-thought dead, the case bring back tragic memories for Chet.
When Roy is injured, his son, Chris, takes his anger out on Johnny.
When Chet Kelly's alter ego, The Phantom, strikes at his favorite victim, John Gage, our favorite dark haired paramedic vows to strike back.
All she wanted was a little vacation. If only her husband's partner would stop getting injured. A brief one-shot from Joanne DeSoto's POV.
I can't breathe, I am drowning. They keep calling Angel's survival a miracle and claiming Roy & I are her saviors & heroes. But I don't believe in miracles, I don't believe in saviors, and I sure as hell ain't her hero because heroes don't break and heroes don't fail. At least not like I did tonight. [sequel to "Angel's Miracle", Brice's POV]
Response to Laughing Librarian's challenge prompt ("The quiet consumed him. He gazed into the flickering light and thought..."). Roy may have to face a difficult reality. And... my muse agreed with the plurality of reviewers: There was more to this story. 7.11.14 - And, there may be just a bit more left in this story...
Roy deals with a bad rescue with some help from his wife. If the quote speaks to you, consider yourself challenged.
"But at the end of the day, or the end of the shift, the uniforms come off and these men reveal that they are not people with super powers, they are just humans, who feel, have highs and lows, get angry and sometimes cry."
I decided to try my hand at the Alphabet challenge, but decided to make it a little different than a story. I put it together fashioned as a poem. Maybe I will write the story version later. I may just do all twenty-six letters as poems. Hmm we shall see where the muse takes me.
Johnny Gage and Dr. Brackett are trapped in an office building when a bomb goes off! Now Roy DeSoto as well as the rest of Station 51 must find their friends while trying to keep the chaos under control. But not all the damage is physical.
Johnny wants some due attention for his favorite TV show. Note: This story is motivated by "Emergency's" non-mention (so far, at least) in PBS' continuing "Pioneers of Television" series.
A crazy day in the ER for Dix. Note: Collaborations error was fixed.
"The floorboards creak ominously. Roy can feel the ones holding his weight bending. He opens his mouth to tell John to get out before he falls, too. The sound is violent and deafening as the floor gives way under John, sending them both tumbling into the basement below." Notes inside.
Missing scene from the pilot movie. Sometimes we are faced with crippling tragedy that we have to find the courage to overcome.
A slightly long drabble (283 words) inspired by a discussion on how to use cussing in a story without typing the cast of usual suspects. Rated T - for implications.
"I listen for the H/T, praying I will hear your voice any minute telling us you're okay, that you snuck out a side door after something happened. Even if you tell us you're hurt, at least I'll know you're still alive. Right now, I don't even have that. I just want to hear anything from you. Just say something." Author's Note inside. (edit: A/N added to end).
