The story takes place in 2020, two years after the events of the third season of the series. Not much has happened ever since, except for usual street crimes; but the calmness ends with the occurrence of some bizarre events. Matt Murdock has to fight new powerful enemies, and makes alliance with another hero, one that hasn't interacted much with him in the comics.
Matt's most life-changing moments have always been made up of helplessness. And Matt will do anything in his power to never feel that sense of helplessness again. To make sure no one else ever does either. Even if fighting against that feeling of helplessness, is what will destroy him in the end. (Or: A Character Study of The Man Without Fear)
