A Conflicting Mind

Personalities. Everybody has them, and they usually can change them with enough effort. We cannot, seeing as we're pretty much two people in one body. That didn't stop us from being able to equally share the body we inhabited, though. This equality was kept hidden, and we all ended up in the USMC when we turned twenty. We also ended up somewhere we never thought we would two years.
