What if Pearl had a secret? Something she was both proud of and ashamed of. What if during the most turbulent and formative years of the modern era a Crystal Gem watched the rise of Evil and War once again set the world burning. What if, against the wishes of her friends and leader, she decided to do something about it. (Based on real-world history with an SU twist.)
