The Extraneous Variable

Harry Potter fanfiction can often be reduced to a formulaic recipe. Enter Wayne Hopkins, a Hufflepuff Muggle-born whose only contribution was as a page-padder. Wayne, an unknown quantity, slowly immerses himself in the intrigue of Hogwarts', and transforms from a superfluous side-character to a hero in his own right.
