Antecedent

While camping with his friends in the summer before entering Middle School, Lincoln is kidnapped by a mysterious figure. Later reunited, he and his family find themselves embroiled in a conspiracy traversing distant lands and even more distant times, and struggle to maintain their bonds and their sanity.
