The Colour of Wine

Sherlock and John are both on record as believing the other to be "the best and wisest man" he has ever known. In this story John demonstrates his wisdom by asking something very particular of Sherlock, and Sherlock demonstrates a bit of his own with his answer. Oh, and he solves a murder, too. Set between A Scandal in Belgravia and The Hound of Baskerville.
