Post 9x22 Castiel comes home to the bunker after losing his army to Metatron, all because he couldn't bring himself to hurt Dean. He had given up an army for one man, and he'd do it over again, but time was running out. His stolen grace will not hold out for much longer, but Cas is scared. Cas feels human emotions that he shouldn't, especially concerning Dean. Cas needs him.
