Soul of a Hero

Death is not the end it used to be. A man dies young, and is given an offer he cant refuse. He comes back, now entered into the cycle of undeath, and placed into a world that while not his own, he knows well. Knights will stand beside him, and against him. Heroes of legend will face against beasts of lore. Gods will seek to manipulate the piece on the board that doesn't belong.
