Like a Plume of Smoke

Hadley was always happy until her best friend Tiara ran away. A lot of Uglies were disappearing, and rumors were that the Smoke was taking them. Hadley hated this Smoke-thing, and she wanted her revenge. She worried about Tiara, for she was very sickly. Hadley would do anything to save her friend, even if it meant the Smoke would fall at her feet.
