Between the Battle of Canary Wharf and when he met Martha, something happened to the Doctor to help him get over the loss of Rose. Worried about the Doctor, the TARDIS takes him to meet a Jedi Master who had also lost everything that was important to him, and survived the sadness. Told from the POV of the TARDIS.
