What most don't know about dragons is that there is only one race that ever had success in killing them. But the Amator left Middle Earth centuries before Thorin sets out. Gandalf knows that their only hope of success is in having an Amator warrior help them - so, like the meddling wizard he is, he invites a fifteenth member to join the quest...
