As a Variant VII Replica Heavy Trooper, Alpha 1 was engineered to be a weapon of war, but all he desires is to protect Alma and Michael. While chasing Foxtrot 813 for Alma, he is defeated by a Phase Commander. Upon waking, he finds himself far from his home. Without "slow-mo" or godlike powers, he has to find a way back to the only family that he has. Prequel to The Broken Soldier.
