Janet and her daughter Caitlyn have long had a strained relationship as a result of Janet's alcoholism. Janet blames herself for the distance, and Caitlyn feels like she can't accept her mother as she is. They realize it will take everything they have to look within themselves and hear the other side of the story if they're to fill the common hole in their hearts: each other.
