The Entrenched Tenrai

The Human-Covenant War began in 1914. Three years later, First Mobile Infantry Division, or Red One, Eaglestrike soldier Jack Doherty goes to war against the Covenant Empire in the hopes of finding his older brother and returning home to their widowed mother. Meanwhile, Stag Clan Yoroi Samurai Warrior, Hana Kimura, must take on her father's place as clan leader after his death.
