I Am the Game

"Congratulations! You have been chosen as this world's [Game]!" He didn't know his name. He didn't know where he was from. He didn't know a single thing about himself, except that he had died. Oh, and that he's apparently the [Game], and he has to guide his [Gamer] to heights unreachable by anyone else. Unfortunately for him, his gamer is a psychopath.
