Things were going to be different this year. She just knew it. It wouldn't be another year of hushed whispers and judgmental glances at her turned back. This year... would be good. She would do everything she could to make a few friends, make it to classes on time, and maybe even fall in love. Hopefully, she could make it out without a scratch, or better yet, alive.
