Drowning in the Dark

He took everything from her. The man with the dark clothes and the crimson eyes. Her home she didn't know how to return to, so it might have been lost. Her family, small though it was, was slaughtered. All she had left was memories, and for how little they made up for her misfortune, they might as well have never happened. Everything was futile, as if she was drowning in the dark.
