Harry had now lived with Severus for almost three months since Dumbledore hadn't found a permanent home for him yet. Severus assumed he'd just have to look after the boy until they found a fitting family. Though he had to be extra nasty to the students to level out the domestic sight of him carrying a tired boy through the castle or accepting child drawings during class.
