Goodbye Stranger

What if to protect the Winchesters in the end from some sort of down fall, Castiel does what he thinks is right and erases their memories of him after remembering what Dean had him do for Lisa and Ben? (I had this thought over a year ago and wrote it then so it probably doesn't match up with the storyline now)
