At the end of the Great War, the Grigori retreated due to low numbers, Lucifer's 72 Demon Pillars were all dead, and Heaven's forces were in disarray. God was dying as he had used most of his power to delay Trihexa's release. He had no choice but to leave Heaven in the care of his latest creation. Unfortunately, his creation had other plans.
