Wormtail had never managed a Patronus. Perhaps, he thought, perhaps there was bravery in accepting his fate. His plans… he was going to betray the only friends he'd ever had, a man who called him brother, his wife and child… He deserved the worst, and what was worse than the kiss of a dementor? (Or, what happens to a secret when there is no soul left to contain it?)
