Apollo's cold heart?

Zeus called for Hermes to rescue Ares who was stuck in a blizzard but Hermes objected his ability to go in the cold and to send Apollo who came to warn them about but something happens that Apollo was even able to melt with his intense heat he gives off. "why do i get stuck with him?"
