Kurt Leith, a 16 year old from Unova, begins his Pokémon journey when an Alolan Vulpix mysteriously appears. With help from his mentor Burgh and other friends, he aims to travel the world and become a top trainer. But he doesn't know that powerful forces are wrestling over his destiny-that is, until they interfere in a way that he can never forgive.
