Soulless Queen

When Hermione split her soul the night of the battle, it had been one of the young woman's few mistakes to date. She should have died that day. In all the ways that mattered, Hermione had died that day. All that was left to do was finish the process the Dementor's had started, and let what remained of this broken woman's soul be freed.
