Corrupted Morals, Corrupted Minds

Not terribly long before the events in Mega man X8, scientists realized that their new generation of reploids had data similar to that of Sigma. As the mass production of said robots was already in full swing, they knew they were unable to prevent Sigma's next attack. They decided that reploids were just too easily corrupted. Thus, they aspired to create the next evolution of man.
