After the Master Chief disappears through unknown means, the UNSC destroys the Didact but at the cost of Earth. Desperate to survive, they join forces with their allies and form the Human-Sangheili Coalition. Ten years later, a research facility goes dark. A nearby fleet arrives to assess what happened.
