Shrike Song

We are defined by the things we leave behind, by the people we cling to. John Shepard is defined by the guilt of leaving his only family behind to face the caustic nature of the universe by herself. But the Shrike has a song too, and in the end, she will sing it. Because one neurotic Shepard clearly isn't enough.
